Serve with Wesley
At Wesley we believe the best way to become fully committed followers of Jesus Christ is by participating in the four pathways of discipleship-four pathways that support us in our journey of faith: worship, learn, serve, and celebrate. And we believe the church should lead the way in serving others by being the hands and feet of Jesus.
Check out how we are serving in our community and beyond. If you are interested in serving with one of vital ministries, you can email the Director of Missions, Elise Peck at epeck@wesleymethodist.com
Ambassadors for Children
Year-round you can donate new or "like-new" clothes to Ambassadors for Children. Collection bins are located by the Connection Counter and Coffee station in the Gathering area. You can also choose to sponsor a Case Worker.
Crosslines Food Pantry
Every 1st Tuesday and Wednesday of the month our teams help at Crosslines. Just a few of the ways they help serve is by packing food boxes for the Crosslines store, helping shop at the store, and helping run Mobile Food Pantries in the community.
Convoy of Hope
For over a decade, Wesley has worked hand in hand with Convoy of Hope, bringing relief to communities locally, nationally, and globally. In 2021, we partnered for their ONEday to Feed the World Campaign, raising over $50,000 as a church community!
Habitat for Humanity
Wesley partners with Habitat through neighborhood clean-ups, Block Party work projects, and funding and building homes in the community.
Harmony House
Each month a team at Wesley prepares meals for the families at Harmony House. We are always looking for volunteers to help make and serve the meals.
Ozarks Food Harvest
Ozarks Food Harvest is the Food Bank for Southwest Missouri. Wesley Church has a team who helps pack backpacks and senior boxes once a month. We are always looking to add additional team members for packing nights
Rare Breed
Rare Breed provides meals for homeless youth in our community. Each month a different team or ministry at Wesley packs sack lunches and delivers them Rare Breed. We would love to continue to find additional teams to help with this outreach.
York Elementary School
Cents of Pride at York Elementary is a unique program dedicated to fulfilling student needs through a reward system that reinforces positive choices and empowers students.
Well of Life Food Pantry
Well of Life Food Pantry serves the Central part of Springfield. They are open on Tuesdays and Fridays, from 10 am to 2 pm. They are always looking for volunteers and have a flexible schedule and something for everyone! To get connected email sheilaplaner@gmail.com
Victory Mission & Equip Coffee
We are so excited to begin our partnership with Victory Mission and Equip Coffee Company. Victory Mission is changing lives locally by helping break the cycle of poverty and homelessness, all while sharing the Gospel along the way.
Through their programs like mobile food pantries, their Restoration program, and workforce development programs, they are making sure that the changes aren’t temporary, but life changing.

On the first Sunday each month, we will be serving and selling Equip Coffee as part of our ministry outreach.
